The secrets to a highly successful self
I just wanted to share this email I got from Jonathan Budd a couple of months back.
The email is extremely powerful and talks directly to the problems many individuals are having while growing their businesses (and navigating through life).
I hope you resonate with the email as much as I do because if you truly understand what is being said your life will never be the same.
It’s amazing how much wisdom and knowledge is contained in this email that can truly alter the path you’re traveling down for the better.
So without further ado, here it is:

I always try to share some nuggets of information I pick up
along my journey…and last night I was very fortunate to
spend some time with a good friend of the Dalai Lama.
Man…what a joy filled being he was! He had the funniest
laugh you ever heard. 
One of those laughs that just booms
and penetrates the space around you very powerfully.
Anyways, this particular monk had some very wonderful things
to say…many of which pertained to building a HIGHLY successful
business.
And the reason why they pertained to building a highly successful
business is because they pertained to building a HIGHLY
SUCCESSFUL Self.
Real entrepreneurs know this…
They know that until you have cultivated the mindset/attributes
that have systematically created success for thousands of years…
you will create more resistance and struggle for yourself
as you labor towards your goals of total financial freedom.
On the contrary…if you have put in the EFFORT to develop
yourself at a deeper level…and WAKE UP to more of who and
what you are…success simply comes to you with FAR less
effort.
In fact, as I continue this journey it’s 10x easier for me
to now make WAY MORE MONEY then I was making just a few months
ago. And I’m really not even putting in that MASSIVE grunt
work I had to put in to build my foundation just a few months
back.
Developing your self is a lot like that. You HAVE to put in
some serious effort and work somewhere Nick.
When I was just starting out on this journey I was TERRIFIED.
I was scared of failure, scared of poverty and being broke,
scared of disappointing myself and other people.
I would get into funks about my self worth, self love, I would
feel sad because I was spending so much time in front of the
computer and my social life STUNK! (And I was use to having
people everywhere!)
But despite all that…I never stopped. I stared adversity down
and just KEPT GOING.
I was HONEST with my feelings. I DID NOT RUN from them.
And if there is one thing I can convey to you here today that
will make the biggest difference in your life and business it
is that right there.
The power of being HONEST with yourself is beyond words. I
promise you that. The people that are able to be HONEST with
their emotions, and not RUN from things that cause them fear,
doubt, or pain…are the STRONGEST PEOPLE PERIOD.
It takes 10x more strength to be HONEST with yourself about
how you really feel…then to go turn on the TV and pretend
like emotions don’t exist.
And that EMOTIONAL STRENGTH is the #1 factor to creating
mammoth success when YOU are building your OWN business.
Being an Entrepreneur is NOT easy. (not at first anyway)
It will DEMAND many things from you. It will challenge you.
Test you. Maybe even TAKE precious things from you.
I know I lost the love of my life because our paths went separate
ways…
But the thing that will get you through it ALL is that level
of emotional strength that you build within yourself…which
the core of is total Integrity and Honesty.
Most of us are on this journey because we are following our
hearts.
Some of us are probably still running after the money at all
costs and that’s ok. Once you get the money…I’d like to
hear if you actually feel satisfied yet? You NEVER WILL!!
You’ll always want more. The mind will constantly think
it needs to ‘acquire’ something else in order to be satisfied.
So if you’re chasing the money…good luck!
I’ve come to believe through all the people I’ve met in this
industry, that money is not what most of us are after.
We’re after freedom. We’re after LIVING LIFE. We want to
feel alive, we want our lives to have Meaning. And that’s
why we work the way we do.
Well, I’m here to tell ya that you can have it all RIGHT NOW!
In fact, if you come into this moment right here…and you really
let yourself be present RIGHT NOW…you WILL feel alive.
If you’re honest with yourself 100%. If you deal with painful
emotions as they arise. If you look INSIDE instead of outside
for solutions…
You will change you life right now. You don’t need $100,000
a month to change your life! In fact, money like that is
ONLY going to come to you if you make the changes RIGHT NOW,
and learn to love yourself in this moment, and appreciate
how FULL this moment really is.
If there’s one secret to how I’ve went from making $400 last
October to making Almost $40,000 in the first 3 weeks of this
October it’s THAT FACT up above.
My honesty, my happiness in this MOMENT, has ALWAYS been more
important to me then some ‘mental projection’ of the future.
Then some fantasies of millions of dollars, and nice cars,
and riches, and blah blah blah.
I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with any of that. Because
I don’t believe there is.
But what I’m saying is that’s never been important to me. And
by staying HONEST, TRUE, and putting in the EFFORT to deal
with the obstacles that came into my life as they arose…
I developed the Internal Strength and growth needed to create
ENORMOUS results in a relatively short period of time.
And real results will never come unless you put in the
work to GROW Nick. It’s just the way it is…
So, as my monk friend clarified last night, success within
ourselves STARTS when we look at the underlying emotional
programming that causes us to SUFFER.
And we deal with it.
Because once our vision of our self is no longer clouded by fear,
doubt, anger, pain, or any of that stuff…we see ourselves
for who we REALLY are.
Which is an infinitely powerful being…capable of things beyond
our imaginations. Trust me on that one.
When you come from a place of REAL power, a place of Truth
and love, you can reach staggering heights of success.
Even if you think you’re successful now…you could be a
million times more successful if you were always coming from
that place.
And the best part is…when you come from that place…you
FEEL successful no matter what! Because you’ll be filled
with joy and happiness which is worth WAY more then money
ever will.
Ok my friends, I’m getting back to work. But hopefully my
monk friend transferred some energy to you today that will
help you to feel stronger, clarify a path to success both
internal and external, and move you closer to your goals.
